Jumped from Illustrator to Sketch in, I think, 2016, no regrets and never really missed it. Started in a new team in 2018 and had to switch to Figma. I was a bit ambivalent at first, but after a short while it really clicked, especially after learning and understanding its awesome component system. Never looked back.

  • Posted to Designers, do you see eye floaters?, Jun 11, 2019

Yep. After reading a long passage of white text on black background, I had an episode of something that pretty much fits the description of Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. If I recall correctly there were some kind of flickering in one of the sides of my sight. It went away after an hour or so, but the next time I went outside I noticed an abnorm amount of floaters (compared to what I had before).

Fun fact: The tiny dots you sometimes see flashing around when looking at something very bright (like the sky) are white blood cells. You're able to see them because they're so large, and the vessels in your eyes are so thin that they fit only one at a time.

A simple handle shouldn't be too difficult to get right. It's not even properly aligned.

I've been using Typora for a while and really loves the way it removes the markdown as you type, making the text body nice and clean. No need for a separate preview window.

Swastika of dicks, huh? I don't think I've ever seen anyone making a logo without someone somewhere seeing something weird in it.

Unless it's something very obvious, I believe comments like this can safely be ignored.

As one who is trying to replace the battery of my top-spec's mid 2012 MacBook Pro, I can totally relate. The battery is literally glued to the inside, and Youtube is full of videos of people cutting them loose with strings and whatnot. Thing is, the battery is bulging, and I don't want to risk puncturing it. Apple technicians in my country are charging about $570 for it, so I guess I'll be shopping for some string...

The possibility to set hours per day + number of days would've been awesome.

Looks like they have removed the built-in icon fonts?
