Any idea if you guys are looking for design interns? ;)
I listen to a ton of music on Spotify. Like...81,000+ hours this year.
Some of my favorites for designing are:
Creative by Jeremy Duhr: http://open.spotify.com/user/m--e/playlist/4WOOVjtpgaj9EqQnooPs21
Drawing by Kasian Arte: http://open.spotify.com/user/119441129/playlist/04t04K0pRBuM110h6dcklb
Chill Lounge by patrolbm: http://open.spotify.com/user/spotifanspoti/playlist/3tmLP2qSuwrAYVtQofe2ES
And if its 3am at a designathon: 90s Eurodance by Spotify Norway http://open.spotify.com/user/spotify_norway_/playlist/4XgBXx4IzPjG5bkmQOabmQ
I'm also working on my own playlist, called Flow. Which I think works for design, homework, whatever. Would love to hear (ha) what you think. http://open.spotify.com/user/nickwittwer/playlist/4jrc2EcwkaLRaAPpMSkC8d
Love the idea, dislike the popup notification. Not sure what the best alternative would be, but even just making them automatically open as new tabs after x amount of time would be better than a popup imo. Detracts too much from what you were previously doing.
Question: What happens if Chrome is closed when the notification would have gone off? Will the tab be opened next time Chrome is opened?
P.S. It would be awesome if a third Nick makes the next comment.
Chrome bookmarks + Dragdis for things like "Wish list" and useful plugins I want to re-visit later. I've looked at other services for bookmarking but no one has really figured it out yet.
I guess what I'm confused about is the PHP file that avoids CORS and threads the downloaded JSON data (previously XML) into the HTML output. Can you tell me how you did that? I have very little experience with this sort of thing. I appreciate the help.
Any chance you're going to Open Source your Pegcity News project? I've been trying to get something similar (for personal use) for a while.

+1 for Espresso and CodeKit. The workflow is so fluid when they're used in tandem.

Hey Mattan! With the vast amount of agencies and talent out there, you'd expect there to be a better/easier way to find them. One problem is that because there are simply so many people doing work in this field, it has become highly-saturated. So much so that it is hard to distinguish the great from the good- especially just from their website.
As you mentioned, most companies do either design or development, but rarely both. This has pros and cons of its own, but for clients it makes the process of getting a product done more challenging because you'll have to find both a design and a development firm.
That said, I'll shamelessly point you towards the firm I'm working at right now: CyberSpark. We do everything you've listed above. Our new projects are responsive websites (mainly) built on WordPress. We design and develop themes from scratch for our clients.
We can do both the front-end design and the back-end, implementing it with WordPress CMS. We use SASS, and are well-versed with JS (and jQuery). We have used SVGs in the past but nothing extravagant.
Would be happy to get in touch and see if we're the droids you're looking for!
