agreed that is unfortunately not the reality. Releasing a product is just step one of a long process to actually making it successful.

Wow that is a lot of response to read :) Thanks for taking the time to write it. Here's a summary of my motivations incase it was perhaps not clear.

creating one product a month was done for a few reasons: - try a number of different things without a huge investment of time or money, your MVP approach. Read "Rework" for more info on that - I'm someone who is good at starting projects but not finishing so I wanted to try to avoid setting myself up for failure - To generate income. Yes, that was the goal at the end of the day and I'm not ashamed to say that. I'm far from the only person trying to do that online with content, templates, physical products, or what have you.

To goal of the post was not to be a marketing exercise. Yes, it did contain self promotion but it was also hopefully a vehicle to show people that you can build your own products, it isn't an unobtainable goal, you can actually do more than one. Many people get stuck in the idea phase and never actually try. I was attempting to show, through real life examples, how you can do this and provide some motivation for readers.

I think if you look at my blog as a whole, and if you have ever tried one of my products (Free or paid), that there is a large amount of value there. As I mentioned in the post, providing the best value and experience for my users is a top priority. I think Gary Vaynerchuk said it best... the best marketing plan is just to simply care. That is the policy I try to follow with all my users and customers. thanks for your feedback.

Thanks Daniel. My problem with BEM vs SMACCS is that I find SMACCS is much simpler and easier to learn in an hour or two. I find the class naming system in BEM a bit overkill. But that's just my opinion, if it works for you it's great.
