Exactly what came through my mind. There must be a better way than to use medium to express one's thoughts. Enough with the big tech oppression. Let's open source it a bit. Let's be open minded and share it to the world…

Be aware, that you need to run such utilities as root in order to see every single directory of your computer… Otherwise you will only be able to check directories for which you have the right privileges.

I recommend not using such software at all… instead either ask a professional or a computer geek to check your computer's health frequently.

Yeah, that's what I believed too. It actually doesn't work at all on my current setup. I had to delete the folder manually, because OS X kept on telling me that my computer is low on disk space. I suggest to delete this folder with a single line command (that requires root privileges) instead of using one of the many crapware claiming to recover disk space. They are almost always very bad pieces of software engineering.

Here is how to delete that folder. Be careful. http://osxdaily.com/2012/02/20/clear-versions-history-auto-save-cache-data-in-mac-os-x/

Invision is a great tool, indeed. The major downside is its inability to manage a mix of desktop, tablet and smartphone (a.k.a. responsive) mockups in a project. LayerVault was a more down-to-earth solution. Keep it Simple Stupid as they say…

  • Posted to Ask DN: Apple Thunderbolt Display Alternatives? , Apr 02, 2015

Well, to be honest there are few reasons you would want to buy an Apple Thunderbolt Display… you might argue it's cool to have an iSight, Apple specific connectivity and a good amount of pixels. But the very basics of a display is to see what's displayed on it right? If the intended use is related to design or photo editing, then the glare will render this display almost useless in some situations. Unless you work in a dark place, color accuracy will not be good.
