Hi, thanks for the feedback. Certainly take it all on-board.

Took on-board your comments, thanks for taking the time. With everything built in REMS, it makes it super hard to cover every screen width. I adjusted some font sizes and content block % widths, so fingers crossed its a bit better.

Lot of work gone into the app and website re-design. Taken about a year total (the app bit) with lots of heated stake holder meetings, frustrating tech work-a-rounds (xamarin forms), endless InVisions flows, and Sketch files I can barley navigate any more. It's by no means finished yet (on-boarding sucks), but learnt a hell of a lot as a designer. Would love to hear your thoughts.

For reference the old site is here... https://pelicanexchange.cargocollective.com/

Interface Lovers is cool and everything, but its just the same thing every time. They all start with - "I've been interested in design from a young age"... yawn. I've never read one thats been - "seriously, product design is f**king hard!".

Maybe its the size of the company you work for, but if you're right in the mix making it happen, the job is never as easy as anyone on there says it is. Dealing with - briefs, user stories, stake holders, investors, developers, deadlines, estimations, launches, re-skins, bugs, BAU tasks, self motivation... thats the stuff I want to read about.

...I do enjoy the inspiration section tho, good for a few links.

I count 4 different line styles, just on the home page... ironically, they didn't know where to draw the line (sorry). Only thing I like is the mobile view.

True. I've been looking into the CMS Cargo Collective 2. Pretty flexible (and no code).

Also, what about content? I'm slightly more worried about the best way to show my UX work, a consistent way to display UI work and its endless device views, and navigating the minefield of ways to write (coherently) about the thought process of a project. The amount of detail @Tregg Frank goes into per-project is impressive, and to do that across all projects must of taken forever.

If I rephrase the question - What do you think is the best way to document your work and the finished result in a portfolio format?

Nice! Super comprehensive. Really get a feel of the depth you go into. Hard to show and nice to see.

Out of interest, how long did it take you to make or update? I need to update my portfolio, but worried its going to take SOOO long to do. Be interested to hear about how to tackled it while in work or on your weekends etc.

"Graduating" would imply you're moving up to a more advanced level. For me, I'm not sure Android is more advanced. Advanced means different things to different people. With a device that I use every day, it means being efficient and easy to use.

I actually want to move off iOS, sick of Apple and their monopoly on the market. But Android just doesn't cut it for me... yet.

Subtle design changes are certainly easier to ship and learn from!!!

Yer, I'm with you. iOS 11 is all over the place in terms of UX consistency. Super annoying to deal with across devices, little less so across apps (but still annoying). But I'm just not convinced Android has enough switching power to convert me. Maybe I'm just stuck in my ways, but iOS still looks good enough to stay with (for now).
