They just invited me one day. First there was a pop up that came within the app if i wanted to participate in the programme. and a few weeks later they emailed me with details to download the beta app.

here is my homescreen. these are the apps i use almost everyday. the other screens have other stuff like Google Drive, Overcast (for podcasts), ibooks (for audiobooks), Alien Blue (for reddit), Google Photos (to back up photos) and uber.

Good luck on getting on that bank account. You usually need proof of address, which is something like a utility bill, or council tax bill. Which can take some time to get.

so top TIP. Apply for the National Insurance number as soon as possible. once you get that you will get a letter from Job Center, which most banks accept as proof of address.
