I was thinking the same thing, but I don't really see how people can design custom protoypes unless Nintendo provides a SDK and allows developers to write custom Labo software.
Also, the video shows some cool ideas that are not actually included in the kits (e.g. foot pedal).
WebVR support is still pretty new and not available in most browsers.
For example if you are a Chrome user, you must download a special developer build available at http://webvr.info (you also need a VR headset).
Most people currently see the non-VR version, that's why it's important to get it right.
For this project, we were a team of 2. It took a few months (development got paused a lot since it's a side project, so its difficult to say exactly how long).
We do most of the 3D design internally, but we sometimes purchase existing assets and modify them to match our needs, or even work with an external 3D artist.
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Good point. We might add some visual cue later on. I think this is really lacking on mobile where it's even harder to figure out which object is actionnable.
Definitely agree with you there. The horizontal-only movement is not an actual design decision, but rather a limitation of the lib we're using to handle camera orientation on mobile. I wish we were closer in that regard to the 360 photo viewer from the Facebook native app, which feels really great to use.
Thanks!
Hey DN,
Here's an interior visualization demo we've been working on.
From a design standpoint, the challenge was to create multiple modes of interaction depending on the platform: desktop, mobile and VR. Each has its own set of controls and UI.
Would love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, what you would have done differently...Thanks!
Really nice choice of typography. Soleil looks awesome on my phone.
Fun game! Interesting to see how certain details can immediately help you identify a person.
One small thing, I think the game should give you the correct answer when you make a mistake.

I like the simplicity of the home page.
I also noticed the missing favicon. I'm curious to know if that's a deliberate choice to go with the minimalist design or just a mistake.
