I'd say learn both but spend more time on which ever is most fun. You will need both as a designer, in my opinion.
I personally prefer native apps, based on the childish notion that I get to "touch" my design and see it come to life. Web apps can have that as well but no where near as fulfilling (in MY experience). Having full control on your entire design process is priceless and ever so rewarding
Majority of the time I work on our iOS apps but I still help our web developer with the frontend work so that he can focus on what he's really good at. It brings forth team work and team spirit.
I obviously work in a small startup so your situation might be very different from mine, where you might not need to fill several rolls.
Either way, have fun! :)
Two good ol' Dell 24" UltraSharp U2412M IPS. One of these days I'll get a 4K version, but not terribly worried about it. They work perfectly 3 years in.
Yay, 1+ for BMX :) stopped riding mine about a year & half ago, but they will always be the shiz!
It's a subrosa salvador, I stripped off all the stickers after I put together though. Gotta be minimalistic, yo :)
As much as I love working with design (motion graphics, UI/UX, web-design, interior design, fashion - you name it!), I have a lot of rather big interests, close to passions, in my life. And I try to make room for all of them, not all at once, more like every now and then.
Sometimes I play competitively in FPS games (CS, BF for those who care ;) ). Sometimes I'm deep down in the stockmarket trading stocks, following the news like a hawk. (Then again, stocks is an every day thing too)
But I always fall back into design seeing as it's my biggest passion in life - and I do it every single day, either in thought or producing something.
Much like Chris Wiggins I am one of the founders of our startup so naturally my waking hours are usually spent thinking about it, working on it or talking about it.
But gaming and finance shall always have a place in my life, it gives me fresh perspectives and most important: It's fun!
Oh cool, a fellow vampire :D I actually really like the original bg color :)
For Xcode, Terminal and Sublime text: http://zenorocha.github.io/dracula-theme/
Sadly, there's nothing similar for Brackets.
Sounds awesome :D would definitely use this! Discussing Sketch is pretty much a dead end right now. A few go at it via Twitter and a bit more via facebook but neither are productive mediums in my opinion.
Only designer on our team and I design everything that needs it. Wouldn't worry about giving the task to jr designers (personally, throw the titles out the window, seen Art Directors produce garbage as well as beginners). Either he's hungry and ambitious and will do the best work he can, or he's lazy and content and will do a mediocre job > regardless of experience.
I've had it in various degrees, but working out has always fixed it for me. Even jogging helps, even though I don't really workout the arms when jogging. But I also do various stretching exercises every day that also helps a lot, in fact it's probably the number one thing :P
I should get back into doing weightlifting though, never had any issues what so ever back then.
I just tried Alex Vanderzon, UI & UX Designer tip with tapping the wrists and I didn't feel anything painful - so hopefully I'm doing OK! :)

Yeah, let's wait to reach our potential by signing up and Maybe getting into to a Good school. Sure, signup - but they should still Just fucking do it.
I don't understand the whole circlejerk of "I'll wait until somebody else does it for me" ie school/work.
