I was really confused as well. I think it's because the text boxes have a bottom border that seem to be the separator between fields.

After looking at the code, it looks like they have javascript that listens for clicks on the page and then makes an ajax request with tracking data about that link before redirecting you.
You forgot to include soda/pop to the list. As someone who used to drink at least a 6 pack a day: it adds up.
I think what he's trying to say is that an expert would know that to truly understand the UX of a device or platform you'll need to own the device.
He is not saying that you must have designed for all platforms to be an expert.
Another company blog that doesn't have a prominent link back to the homepage. Any ideas as to why this is forgotten so often? Usually the point of the company blog is to drive traffic to the product pages.
Is it simply that the blogs are usually created by marketing instead of design/product?

So any app can access the push notifications sent to my other apps? I'm curious how it gets that kind of access.

It takes something like 2 minutes to recharge to 9 hours of life. So the issue has been blown out of proportion. If the battery is low/dead just go grab a drink or take a bathroom break.
