It says he was part of apple in the 1990s. Wasn't apple getting screwed in the 90s? Im not sure what he means by 'apple's products back then were better designed'. And he seriously thinks Microsoft is doing a good job of design? They just went 1 step forward and 3 steps back with their OS iterations in the past few years with the whole Metro interface. Not to mention it took a hell of a lot longer than it takes apple to release an OS iteration. His opinions are a bit too harsh on apple i think.

If you're on a mac, keychain manager is the best thing for passwords. 1. Its free 2. It integrates into safari autofill 3. Its got all the same functionality as 1password or any other password manager.

UI, UX, & Marketting have a lot to do with Slack's success i mean just look at it.. its just IRC + File Sharing.. none of the technology is new or revolutionary in any way.. its not even faster.. there is no metric on which slack is better than the completion in terms of technology. The only thing that works for slack is anyone who uses it instantly falls in love.. and thats what great designers do, they make people fall in love with their products.

This being Apple, i won't be surprised if they use their own in house 3d rendering software instead of anything available commercially for creating those renders.
