Having a monopoly isn't about having or not having competitors, it's about leveraging your monopoly onto other markets. You could make the argument that every time Adobe adds another application into the CC packet, it's doing just that.

I find VSCO Cam to have a horrible case of "mystery meat" navigation

Did you build out the Ray Wenderlich Swift tutorial? Genius.

The problems are both a lack of consistency and a lack of integration.

I don't have CC, but in CS6, why can't I copy a semi-transparent bitmap from Photoshop to Illustrator? I can export it to a PNG and import it, but copy and paste? And it's like that with all the apps - I can copy a vector from PS to AI and from AI to Flash, but not from PS to Flash? Yeah, Flash is a Macromedia product, but they merged 9 years ago.

Adobe controls everything. They constantly break things during updates... why can't they fix crap like this which costs me a couple of hours every month?

If you want to play around with various frameworks and technologies, I can't recommend WebFaction enough. Set up and tear down applications with a couple of clicks, there's a ton of pre-configured options. I moved there from DH and couldn't be happier.

So... what term should we use? We have client service, creative, project managers, strategy, etc - if we get rid of the 'creative' label, what label should we use? What is the proper blanket term for designers, illustrators, animators and copywriters?
