They weren't that bad I assure you... Although, the term UX wasn't thrown around so loosely back then.

Whoa. Not sure if I've had my head in the sand but I didn't even know this was a business large enough to support that kind of engineering resources. Great job and thanks for sharing.

You guys get to build a service which is both useful AND you and you get to build your own hardware??? Sounds like fun!

Sorry Chris - I'm confused, exactly what value does this provide then? Why would this be better than what Stripe offers?

My experience says that if you're comfortable spinning up Heroku, you probably aren't going to use it to "... collect payments from a static website".

I adore these. Shopfiy has such a good story to tell and these are so well executed.

Don't forget to have a look at the previous years too.

"Awww, come on guys, it's so simple maybe you need a refresher course. [leans arm on hot engine part, then jumps away] Heyya! It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads, and I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State." - Fletch

Strange - The site seems to get caught in a loop when it tries to load. It's literally flashing at me like somebody inserted the dreaded < blink > tag. :)

Couldn't agree more. Anybody building quality software that's looking to add too (or shake up) our toolboxes, deserves our support.
