Looks awesome, any tips on getting into the beta or did you just wait in line?
Me too, I hope I get a chance to try it soon!
Outlook on iOS is fantastic! My work uses Exchange so it's the best choice for me and I find it a pleasure to use. I agree that there's no good Mac version and I'm guessing we won't see a modern update anytime soon.
Other than OneNote Microsoft seems to be really neglecting their Office suite for Mac. I'd love to see an update to Skype for Business, the Lync client is terrible.
For me both Mail and Airmail are perfectly sufficient options, there aren't any important features missing from one or the other. It mostly comes down to which I find more attractive and Airmail wins that to me.
I use Airmail as well and generally like it! I've also been meaning to try the new MailPilot beta, I wasn't a fan of version one but I like their iOS app, it would be nice to use the same thing on Mac and iOS.
I know a couple of people who use their hi-res displays like that but most people, myself included, just don't have the eyesight or desire to work with everything at such a tiny size.
For me, Retina means far better text rendering, with smaller pixels the characters have better clarity, better definition and it leads to less eye strain in my experience. I also like crisper 1px lines and more detail in graphics and photos.
Wow, huge change there, looks much nicer now.
If that's how they pay the bills I'm okay with an ad. I'll check it out!
If you're just looking for news posts and don't need community then Sidebar is nice. That said, while their site is fine I follow it almost exclusively through Twitter.

Wow, gorgeous looking app and it looks like the dashboard app I've wanted for ages!
