Fabien, I'm not sure how to respond to that. I never said we invented it :-) We've just made a new feature (using a well-known technology) to our product and wanted to share the info, see if there's something we can do better/improve. No one ever said anything about inventing it or coming up with this solution on our own - these are simply your deductions, your thinking, and your words.
But thanks for sharing your story.
thx for sharing!
Cool collection of design books!
Hi Benjamin! It would be great to get in touch, as a team we're curious of your thoughts! Please feel free to get in touch with us, I'm not sure how to reach you ;-)
Some time ago, I have asked the DN community for a feedback on our product (https://www.designernews.co/stories/95739-a-social-platform-for-people-with-a-collecting-passion-your-feedback-needed)
To sum up, the most desired and needed thing was a proper landing page! We made it our priority. Here's the effect of our hard work over the last weeks.
I have waited a while with this response, but I believe we're ready now!
Thank you Valentin for this awesome feedback. We've analysed it with the team (we really love to receive such insightful comments on our work) and decided to make informative landing page our a top priority. It seems it's the thing most needed and desired. It's live now! See here: https://ownetic.com/
When it comes to other points in your feedback
Design and icons: while working hard on implementing new landing page, our devteam found the time to implement some minor, though important design improvements to make Ownetic look more sleek. We have also improved the icons on the left. Have you noticed?
Now you can click on the collection name to access the whole collection!
We're working hard to improve/implement the rest of the features uoi mentioned (in particular: categories/filters). All your suggestions are very to the point, also regarding the lack of social features, which are on our roadmap (very high), but are waiting for other topics to be closed.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback, Valentin!
Bevan - thanks! Please consider we went fully public a day ago. Before, we were a closed site. To learn more about Ownetic, please join in the group of Early Adopters here https://www.facebook.com/groups/ownetic/ or read more about us here: https://www.facebook.com/ownetic/
To create a tailor-made platform, we've been in touch with early members for around 3 months before the launch. We believe it's the only way - to constantly be in touch with real users and receive feedback.
It's all right, thanks Jamie for spending the time to give it a thought :-) we're not having a fully developed landing page with all the benefits simply because we haven't had a chance to create it yet :-) We've focused on creating a good experience for the early users and on rolling out the necessary features. Marketing comes next, that is - now, hence the question :-)
Thanks, we'll develop the landing page and surely include all the benefits of joining Ownetic - then, I'll come back for more feedback!
We have managed to create the about.ownetic page located in the footer.
Full landing page - next on the list :-)
thank you! so nice to hear :-)
