Ugly solution. Recent days I found that I prefer progress bar like blossom.io...

For bootstrap now I start with an 1400px wide document and set 1170px grid inside. Then I set a vertical guide at 800px for important contents, with the process of design I'll resize height as I want.

Agreed. The title should be "Designer's Software Environment on Windows", nothing about how to complete a project fully on windows.
