Posted to Where should I start a new blog?, in reply to Tierney Cyren , Mar 28, 2014 Jekyll is a static site generator. I use it and Frank for most of my work. I love them both. Jekyll is more geared towards blogging.
I think it is important to consider your intentions with a blog: do you care about exposure? A community driven service like Medium or Tumblr will offer some inbuilt exposure. Do you want comments? Is your content gonna follow a theme?
