uhhh... love it.
I went to download the site as a PNG
And instead downloaded the full webpage and directory structure
The price-point is hard for me to get over since I kind of want to put it through a trial run.
Looks very fun and useful though!
I love it. HackerYou is really cool. I know the guys over at OneMonth and Mattan started off on Skillshare which built his audience out while he built his own product with his co-founder Chris.
How did you grow your audience? Going to meetups? Being a super twitter user?
Hey Wes! Just checked out your React Course. I really like how you've differentiated your material from Skillshare / Udemy etc.
How did you get started with becoming a teacher? Did you ever use Skillshare or other platforms in the past to promote your content? When did you feel comfortable shifting over to your own learning platform?
Mike Alger has some great videos and write ups. Watch this first and see if you'd be interested in more of what he has to say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id86HeV-Vb8
100% with you. That is what I was immediately exposed to with product design. I had started by literally opening up photoshop and, instead of editing a photo, I started editing components for an iOS app. Everything had an immediate critique or concern and then yes, eventually a compliment.
It forced me to move my ego out of the way a lot and taught me about how other people perceive my work as well as built up my knowledge-base within design. After that click- where I could take an objective point of view of my work, I was able to actually defend my decisions and not take all things so personally. Of course it still seeped in every now and then but it lowered the volume on my imposters syndrome.
So your advice is dead on- I am just trying to find a way to get to those people online who aren't sharing their work... at least not where I'm looking.
Right on, thanks a lot Jack.
