It's interesting that Healthcare is the new thing all the agencies want to 'disrupt' these days. I can assure you that changing the system requires a lot more than a lofty polished design. It takes a team of talented people in data, technology, medicine and a countless other specialities working together to sort this incredibly tangled mess.
I apologize if this is coming of as combative. I came from an agency and took a job in a very non sexy industry because I truly believe that healthcare in America needs a drastic change. My point is that it's fantastic that people are having these discussions but we need to do more than just make bold assumptions in the healthcare space. I encourage you guys to push forward and try to honestly change the system.
Healthcare is an ugly system on many levels, visual design is the easy part.
I find that Sketch renders some fonts thicker than Photoshop. I love working in sketch but I find that when I see a page live it looks closer to photoshop comps.
Does anyone know why that is?
Very nice, was this designed by FreeAssociation?
"Not the spectacular things are the important things - the unspectacular things are the important things, especially in the future." - Dieter Rams
Agreed.
I think a lot of visual designers, especially younger ones, get a hero complex where they feel like they have to own the project. Its important to let go and be able to collaborate and ask bigger strategy questions through out the process. It can be hard as a designer who spends time creating balanced compositions but we have to be willing to tear things apart if they don't strategically make sense. Digital product design is only getting harder as technology gets better, it takes a team to build something great and everyone needs to understand that.
dehm, they really did it
This seems like a great idea. I work at Oscar Health, Its great to see other people coming into this complicated space. We need more creative/forward thinking people solving these problems.
Looks good, they were in need of a redesign.
