Great design and some cool dev interactions. Overall it's awesome.
Unfortunately, the page weight for almost every page is super heavy. Making the site load slowly before that specific page is cached.
I think the site would greatly benefit from having those page weights brought down. Potentially lazy loading and serving smaller versions of the book covers on pages that aren't a single book page would probably help, since there's usually a lot of them on each page.
Since there are a ton of these frameworks these days, I would like to have seen usage examples on the site so I could see what separates this from others.
He be on that angular-to-pay-the-bill shit.
We're looking for a Designer and Front-End Dev. Preferably from the Bay Area, but are open to people from across the States that are willing to relocate.
I think I'm building site number 5 or 6 with it. Coming from WordPress it's been the best experience.
I'm not a backend dev whatsoever and I haven't run into any problems building the marketing sites that I've built with it so far. I was pretty good at Twig before using Craft, but I've only gotten better in the 8 or 9 months that I've been using Craft.
Damn, this site is dope! Heard the developer is awesome.
I think this is what you're looking for http://www.pexels.com/
Same for me. Co-worker and I came across Takana a few weeks ago. He's been able to use it flawlessly while I can't even install it.
Displaying the captions on top of the video compared to the standard bottom is incredibly distracting to me.
I'm not hard of hearing but I usually use captions/subtitles whenever possible if there's not a significant lag, as they help me keep focus. But in this instance they did the opposite for me.

The video makes it seem as though you started from an existing template. As you removed and then changed a few items like the league pricing tables.
While starting and using a template is perfectly fine for certain projects, it doesn't make for the most interesting content on a site like this.
