They actually used to be center-aligned, but were changed to allways go to the same way for uniformity. I'll check out how it looks center aligned again.

You can actually tap anywhere to switch turns, one of the main differences of this clock compared to others. I found being restricted to clicking only certain areas took away from immersing yourself in the chess game.

Regarding visual indicators, the entire clock changes colors to match the current player's turn. I guess i shouldmention this in the clock description :)

That could be an addition to the portrait layout. This isn't an issue in landscape mode which is the layout best fit if both players wish to read the other's remaining time :)
