Sure, cookie acceptance may have been a legal requirement, but the implementation is a design decision.

Except this isn't "telling the police". This is telling a mob with pitchforks and inciting vigilante justice.

Contacting the company, getting a lawyer involved, issuing a DMCA would be more akin to contacting the police.

One approach you could take is to look in to a 60% mechanical keyboard. Many of these smaller boards allow you to have multiple function layers, where you can bind different key mappings.

So you could have layer one be your traditional keyboard layout and layer 2 be your design layout with all the shortcut keys you need arranged in a logical fashion for you.

If you are on a Mac you can use the system settings to make sure the Command, Option, and Control keys are where you would expect them to be (since most mechanical keyboards are programed for PCs).

Another option is looking in to something like the Kinesis Advantage

Hugo was super easy for me to set up, compiles really quickly, is hosted on S3 for pennies a month, and does everything I need.

    Dashlane FTW.

Not only does it have 1-click password changes and alerts when there are possible breeches, but it makes sharing credentials between family and friends dead simple without exposing the actual password to the other party.

I couldn't put it down. I think I blew through the whole book in about 3 days.

I am trying to pick up a few more copies because I find every time I lend it to someone it never comes back.

OLED displays use more power when more pixels are lit, and when pixels are brighter. They don’t care if the pixels represent a rich mahogany desk, or a sleek, minimal typography-only design.

Isn't that part of what Hockenberry was getting at? Rendering lush textures and bevelled buttons would require more pixels to be activated, which would drain the battery faster than a flatter design that only turned on pixels for information.

disclaimer: I don't have an Apple watch, so I'm not sure what the watchface options are and how the ones available are laid out.
