The website itself is just fine. The problem is that it's been bombarded with self-promoters and spammers who most likely use several accounts to boost their posts to the top. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with self-promotion. But when people post their ecommerce agency's website for shameless self-promotion, that's when it becomes spam.
They tried to solve for that but introducing a downvote button, but the haters and trolls ruined that.
I'd like to see what ideas the community has other than complaining and hitting the upvote button to give themselves a virtual pat on the back.
It depends on who you're talking to.
If it's someone's mom, I'll probably just say, "I'm a designer, I work on designing mobile apps and websites"
If it's someone in the industry I'll say, "I'm an experience architect specializing in IoT and AI"
haha, jk, I'm a product designer, figure it out
reimage your machine and do not restore from backup. it's a pain but it'll run like you just took it out of the box
Protip, on a mac inside settings->keyboard, you can remap any shortcut for any app
Thanks for the response, how did you even find this? I posted this over a year ago
I don't have a personal logo – but I do have some branding that I follow from my website, resume, and business card. I don't think it's necessary for some designers, for others, I feel like it's critical. If you're a brand designer and you're applying to work at a big time agency without a logo – probably not goin look so great. If you're a UX designer with not the best visual design chops, maybe don't make a logo, just pick a nice typeface and write out your name.
I tend to side with Sean Wes when he says, "a cheap business card is worse than no business card." In other words, if you can make a nice logo and you're trying to get jobs that require visual design chops a personal logo can be a really great way to get people to notice you.
On the other hand, if you're new or not great at visual design, it's better to speak to your skills rather and show poor skills and remove all doubt that you in fact, not a good visual designer
