Youdabest!
Fantastic update, this + Sketch Preview plugin are an essential part of my workflow.
The only strangeness I've noticed is that if the preview image is longer than the display, it centers vertically every time the app controls disappear. Regardless, thanks for making it and making it free!
This reminds me of the NYC Transit Authority Graphics Standards Manual that Pentagram published last year via Kickstarter.
Like any tech, It's all in the implementation. Snapchat uses QR codes to allow users to follow each other and it's way easier than typing a username. See a snapchat QR code, open the app (which opens to the camera) and boom you're following that person. No button to press, no "Add Contacts" screen, no typing, no searching, no confirming. It's quite lovely.
jet.com & bezar.com are two prelaunch ecommerce companies that come to mind. Google Inbox, mailbox and Ello are all well known for their waitlist marketing strategies. Not sure if that's what you're looking for.
While I agree that the interface would need to be reworked. Where the circles have been drawn seem pretty arbitrary. If you make them slightly larger most of the screen fits within it. Plus, the total surface area (even with a bezel) wouldn't be larger than the rectangle.
It's all selfies: http://instagram.com/jetthouse (Not really)
Paste In Place (Command+Shift+V) is what you're looking for. Although I do miss it being the default. Fingers crossed for reverting or adding it to Preferences!
I bought an Everlane backpack (which looks great) but the laptop sleeve has started to fall apart after a couple years of semi-regular use.
I'd go Jansport because of the lifetime warranty. Granted they don't always make the sveltest bags but I've had one since I was a kid. I've damaged it several times and Jansport has never failed to repair or replace it with a newer bag.
The heritage collection is actually pretty cool: http://www.jansport.com/shop/en/jansport-us/heritage-series/jayhawk-T31A

Definitely need to add Jordan Wolfson's Female Figure and Manic Love to the list. They're very unsettling works of art. Female Figure especially lies somewhere deep in the uncanny valley.
