  • Posted to Modal vs. Page Push?, Dec 07, 2019

Typically I would say if there is one immediate action to take, a modal should be used. Push page is for a new set of information. There are also "full screen" modals which would be used for more complex sets of information and input such as editing a piece of media (which could be a push page as well depending on flows and architecture).

Why Corporate Environments "Constrain" Design Creativity.

I am guessing English isn't the first language of the author, I get it. A proofreader would help. That aside, the bullet points are actually sound and very applicable. Thumbs Up

  • Posted to Can I write “Creative Director” on a student résumé / CV?, Feb 08, 2019

Im in the group that believe creative director means a certain thing and that certain thing is usually at least 5-10 years experience getting to creative director. Creative directors also deal with multiple creative teams like copy, design and usually many more. A creative director lays out the high level vision and groups the teams accordingly to move them forward. Sounds like you were more of an art director, lead designer, design manager etc. Just my two cents.

I almost quit too. You sound like you feel exactly how I felt. I was literally in the parking lot to go to my first day at Target as a cashier when I got a call to come into my first job.

    Don't give up. Try harder.

Listen to Jimmy Hooker. I tried it twice and hated it until my third try. Once I made it an imperative, I became comfortable. It was the best decision of my career. Yes. Sketch is that much better for product and web design. I am happy and thankful everyday for knowing it. Do it. It's just a necessary evil that will turn into a necessary best friend.
