Companies do this on purpose so that there's no conflict of interest. It's to learn more about your process and design thinking in a way that doesn't make you paranoid of them ripping off your work.
I wonder why they chose such a small max-width. To optimize across all screen sizes?
Thanks for answering. I think the same — I want to be "the guy" and a lot of my projects have just been me going into startups and being their designer. This is great validation.
Thanks for doing this, Matt. Currently part of a 2-man studio and curious about your experience running your own. Did you ever come to a point where you could have grew to a larger studio, and if so, why did you decide to stay small?
That's just content marketing. There's nothing wrong with it, and the post itself had some good information.
Hey, you spelt the product name wrong in the 'After' mockup of the hero image.
I like the site. Amazing you built it with Webflow...I'm going to have to check it out.
When I read "UX Designer" I expected your case studies to be filled with user research notes and wireframe mockups. But seems like you're decent at visual design and branding too.
Curious why you decided on "UX Designer" vs a more generalized title to match your skillset.
I know the community here is tired of unsolicited redesigns, but they really helped me out a lot throughout my career. This is a guide for aspiring designers just starting off, on some things to consider for a redesign.

It's great you want to eventually learn the UX process as well. While you're learning to design beautiful interfaces, do not dismiss the user experience as well. While you don't have to go through all the UX steps, just be considerate about how somebody will be interacting with your work. You don't want to be strictly a person that can design pretty interface— there's tons of people on Dribbble that do that.
Your real value will come when you can bridge your work to the product and business goals. UI design is just the first step. https://uxdesign.cc/the-best-designers-are-business-strategists-a02ee6ec5db9
