  • Posted to Ask DN: Is it necessary to have art/illustration skills as a UI/UX designer?, Apr 12, 2016

I don't think it's necessary but I think it is a great ability to have. Similar to what Pasquale said, it's very similar to the Should Designer Code argument. Not needed but will help immensely. For example I just started handlettering a few months ago, and while my lettering might not be the greatest I have seen my design thinking improve a ton.

  • Posted to Ask DN: Any downside to curved monitors?, Jan 09, 2016

I have a Samsung Curved Monitor and I love it. Its big enough for me that I can close my laptop and do all of my work on just the screen. The colors look good, not as good as the Dell monitors but as a designer it doesn't distort the colors very much and it is easier on the eyes. I also have my ps4 hooked up to it and the graphics are amazing. Plus the built in speakers help. Hope this answer helps

  • Posted to Thanks DN: Am I a real UI designer? (1 year update), Dec 29, 2015

How did you begin to find clients? I'm at about the same position now that you were at last year and I spend tons of time reading, designing, finding inspiration etc. I can see my designs getting better, but the one thing I am having an awful time figuring out is getting clients. Just interested in how you began to find clients
