A less standard way, but more real and sincere in my opinion, would be a slider where female and male are in each end and the user could move the marker freely to where is considered more representative for itself.
Female ————X———— Male
(the X is the marker)

I'm pretty sure Designer News is not made this way, but there is this application called Telescope that helps you do that.
I see here very clean desktops…
Hey Nick, thanks for the answer and for the information provided (I didn't know this treaty and it seems very interesting). I share in part your opinion. I'm conscious that we have to define some limits about till where we can act on what we can define as "what belongs to the universe". But I think that in this case we can consider two things:
The proposed subject it's not destructive for the moon itself. Technically, It modifies some lunar terrain as a rover could do. It's reversible within time as far as I can understand.
It's a human act of art, of expression, and the act itself it's linked with some ancestral human behaviors. It's like painting in the caves, in a certain way. It's leave a testimony of something for the future.
These are, basically, the two main reasons of why I am not being conservative (environmentally talking) with this proposal and that's why it has my personal approval. Anyway, I'm also conscious that maybe this topic needs more debate.
Can you explain why?
I found this idea of having separate issues in an online magazine very interesting, it's a nice way to differentiate it from a typical blog. Also, presenting the content like this makes it seem more well curated. Thanks for sharing!
WOW I never thought Bloomberg would do things like this! The way they treat every article is really nice (and very funny too).
Also I've liked a lot the front page of Adult, I think all the content breaths very well, very good looking with this type and colors.
Hey Josiah, thanks for your interest.
My client has a music blog and now wants it to be more like a magazine, so I'm mainly looking for websites. Maybe it's a little silly, but for me an online magazine is like an "advanced view" of a blog, always focusing on its content to create its new hyerarchies.
I I'm not looking for anything in special, I'm just looking for some examples to see different ways to solve the same or different problems you can find while designing an online magazine, from layout to how you emphasize the content.
