Posted to A Case-Study On The Football Score Bug (the thing that shows you the score of a game), in reply to Juan J. Ramirez , Apr 20, 2015 I couldn't find a better screenshot. You don't see the heat maps on the side by default. There are a set of features – like the heat map – that the user can choose to bring up.
The basic view is the expanded timeline with markers for incidents during the game. You can click them to watch a replay and then jump back to the live game.
That said, I'm glad you did this case study. It's an amazing experience to use the MLB player. I seriously wish this or something similar was the default everywhere.

CSS Grid support is quite new. You'll probably need to update to the latest versions.
