I was a huge fan of Font Awesome until i came across Fontello which was soon replaced by Fontastic.
Fontastic allows you to easily import SVG's and create your own rollups while mixing and matching additional sets. And they've just added in the ability to publish as SVG sprites. (I have no association with them, just get excited whenever I share this awesome service).
Juan should have known better, and after a couple incidents like these I'm sure he'll have better sense (at the cost of lost innocence and faith in other humans) – still doesn't make it OK for that agency to take advantage of a less informed designer in this day and age.
Wish he had posted which agency he was involved with so I can do something to steer potential victims away in the future, but I guess that would just lead to a worse headache for Juan than is already warranted.
Sweatshops take advantage of it's workforce's lack of information and necessity to make ends meet. The fault is squarely on the organization that profits off this situation, not the other way around. Irregardless of the missteps Juan took to protect his own interests, and completely irrelevant to Spike Lee or anyone else's involvement in the actual production, crap like this is unacceptable at any degree IMO.
I'd say that UX is what causes an emotional response when a human interacts with something beyond their physical self. This being the joy or frustration a person inexplicably feels when using a tool, regardless of it being physical or abstract.
Conversely, UI would pertain to not only the way something looks, but to the way an undefined object hints at it's own purpose through the use of visual cues.
using bootstrap, if you want to serve 3 different image sizes based on viewport, it will load all 3 assets regardless of the device.
foundation's interchange seems to dynamically query and serve the appropriate asset, and also supports the same feature for entire blocks. http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/components/interchange.html
I've been using bootstrap until now, but the latest foundation seems to have a lot of smart decisions/tools that are available out of the box.
things that i find exciting and worth switching over for:
interchange (load images & sections selectively based on media queries/device types)
off canvas (reveal menu type navigation)
also, it's more semantic in markup, and seems to be set up to make customization more easier using sass.
i'll most likely be trying foundation out for my next small scale project to see how it goes.
+1 for digitalocean. switched over a couple months ago and loving it so far. great price for the service, and support has been super fast to respond and helpful.
Nice find, would be even better if they had an option to choose different sources for the feed. Thanks for sharing.

I was upset to see this change as well, but figured no harm in trying things out with the 14 day trial. Guess we'll have to see what the experience is like once the "premium" features go away but iOS largely feels the same. Downloaded the Mac app and it was buggy for an hour or so where the inbox wasn't properly syncing, but it seems to have just caught up now.
Switched off Nylas as they went full pro as well, guess a new search must begin once my trial is up :T
