Great site and brilliant concept. It also poses a lot of interesting ethical questions moving forward.

Nicely done. I remember using greensock during the flash days. It was the progression from Zeh fernando's Mc_Tween. Good to see the javascript version is going strong.

  • Posted to Ask DN: What are your goals as a designer in 2016?, Dec 27, 2015
    1. Career wise continue doing work that I believe in and have fun doing it.
    2. Launch my first product
    3. Aiming for $300k-$500k freelance + product launch income.
    4. About to be a father - so not a hobby per se but my energy will be devoted to my wife and son :)
    5. Keep getting better at prototyping tools such as principle and pixate. Improve on my teaching skills on video.

    Fun questions :)

I'm in the same boat. Almost the exact same process and flow.

  • Posted to How to set up UIUX freelance fee on the proposal?, Dec 06, 2015

    Hey Endang,

It's totally fine. The key is to make sure you have a reputation and a solid body of work if you are looking for large up front payments. Plenty of designers I know have gotten 10k USD deposits. As long as your work and the way you communicate builds TRUST with your client a 50% upfront payment is fine. In some cases even 100% is fine if the job is not massive. Anything under $10k usd. But that is obviously relative to your experience and what you value your work at so it's different for everybody. I hope that helps.
