Maybe you just don't need clients who focus on a visual part if you're ux designer?
I totally understand how difficult it is. Try to connect your JS learning and work. For example, to code an interactive prototype or make JS animations on your own. Good luck!
Oh, my bad, thanks for catching that. Actually, I send it to proofreading yesterday, but right before the start I decided that copy wasn't good enough and made some "improvements" and here we are ;)
Hello designers, a year has past since I built uideo.net and I’m on designer’s side projects road again with a simple visual inspiration bookmark tool. Designbase.us helps you to collect and store visual inspiration within your Dropbox folder. I think the most interesting part of this is my code struggles which I described in “Designer’s code story”. Feel free to ask me anything and it would be a pleasure to hear from you guys - which features do you miss the most in such a tool?
Hi there, not really. Could you provide more information about your browser, OS, and maybe some AD block plugins, please?
Thanks. I checked it and yes, there are some problems and it asked to put the second ssl certificate because one isn't enough. I'll try to fix it soon, but I really hate to do all these server stuffs ><
Here it is mail@uideo.net
Hello guys. At the peak of designers side projects trend, I decided that I've had enough to drawing pixel perfect pictures of websites and it's time for action. Sooo, here is my first attempt. https://uideo.net is a collection of videos from conferences for designers.
Uideo (hope you got it UI-deo) is kinda my bookmark videos which I've collected for years and of course I would have to watch them in some perfect sunny day. And for me it actually worked. While I was adding them, putting tags and ratings on every video I watched hundreds of these stuffs.
How have I started? I was trying to push myself to learn some code for about one year and a half, but every time I gave up somewhere in the middle of another super modern cool powerful coding online course, because it was so boring. But the idea of building products didn’t fade. So few month ago I opened Skillshare, found there a rails basic course and went through it and few weeks later I had the first iteration of uideos with the core idea of connection between speakers, conferences and videos (and it worked as well). And after few iterations here it is.
As it turned out, to build stuffs on modern frameworks is kind of playing with lego. Because before I was thinking that to program it's just for super minded mathematical kind of mind guys. But to build some simple stuffs you don't need to be like this at all. My next step will be some JS framework and one more useful service for designers. Hope you enjoy it guys!
