I just added an update describing the benefits of the approach on workflow. I realised this was actually the real benefit for my team using this approach not just the removal of duplicated media queries. https://medium.com/@hallodom/the-solution-to-media-queries-in-sass-5493ebe16844#.5wquz66sn
Thanks for reading!
True my preferred solution would be to keep things nested but I didn't like the duplication. You can argue it doesn't really matter for most devices for performance or file size but if I can save a few kb's I'm happy to.
Although I found being able to jump into a component file scroll to the bottom and know exactly which classes were responsive speeded up my workflow when making changes.
Awesome thanks, I did not know about this! I'll include in an edit in the post :) Thanks!
Thanks everyone! Yeah fair point storage is cheap so may as well archive them externally and drop them from the repo. We're using Github for our artwork repo so part of the problem is if someone wants to edit something they have to download everything (around 13GB, lot's of old PSD's). It's version controlled anyway so making an archive and deleting from the repo should do the trick! I just thought maybe I'm being too soft not deleting my old stuff ;)
New UI looks so much cleaner and less overloaded! Great job!
Always admire CSS tricks but I'm finding this new design harder to engage with and read.
Looks great, nicely structured and clean!
I emailed the creators of Zeplin.io and they said they're going add syncing in the future
I've looked at Perch a few times, comes well recommended though I've never used it myself: http://grabaperch.com/

I'm liking it so far and I haven't found I've missed the layers panel yet. All the Sketch keyboard short cuts are working, so I can still group objects and ungroup. Having said that I haven't built anything complex yet. The repeat grid thing is pretty slick and the prototyping feature is convenient. I'm quite interested in this longer term!
