We are working on our roadmap now and it is being shaped by what users as asking us for. We will take note of your suggestions!
As for your ideas on the command-line mode, I agree that it would be really killer to have AutoCAD-like control. It isn't exactly the same, but you can currently type to filter commands our file menu (for example: ⌘/, "distribute", enter).
