    I know for a while StackOverflow had a 30 character minimum for comments. I've always been curious if that sort of system would actually help or if people would just add !!!!!!!!!!!!! to their posts.

    I have thought that the overall quality of Dribbble has declined in the last year or so. I look to Behance or even just web searches to find interesting work. While invites are a good argument for keeping the conversation relevant, there are other ways to encourage this. A platform that does this well is Stack Overflow where there is a character minimum for comments. I do agree with Christina that the invite-only system is bad for a diverse group.
