"Stack" sounds like a pretty bad term to use when referring to a non-technical skill-set.
I disagree ;)
I'm actually really frustrated about this, and it's compounded by the long awaited Meteor Galaxy deploys being priced out as enterprise with no transparency. Don't get me wrong, I love dev-friendly third-parties such as Modulus, and I use them for several projects, but the opaque nature of Meteor's "featured" hosting is really frustrating.
Thanks Joseph!
Any advice on how to avoid "buzzword bingo" in my What section? I wanted to be generic to direct visitors towards my Github/Medium, which is a better representation of my abilities as a FE Dev than listing "React, Meteor, SCSS Modules, Webpack, Angular" yadda... Maybe my job title will suffice.
Definitely will take care of the Where section.
The Japanese translates into "Nichi nichi kore kōnichi" which means, "Every day is a beautiful day." I think I will make it a link to the wikipedia article.
Thanks again!
Looking for feedback/criticism on my personal site
Please forgive the FOUC :)
I don't think it's a courtesy issue; I think he's targeting empathy... 'just' betrays the comfort level the speaker has with the task at hand, not taking into account the perspective of the receiver.
I would argue the future is already here when it comes to "personal computing" and mobile operating systems dominating the namespace. When it comes to production, on the other hand, it's hard to imaging producers creating content on devices targeted towards consumers.
Very, very worried about how 3D touch "hides" functionality inside UI elements with no visual cues.
I was really hoping 3D touch would simply give immediate access to long-press gestures. Want to reorganize your icons? Deep press and drag. Want to copy and paste a paragraph? Deep press and drag.
As a side note, I think it has a lot of potential to be the first true click() event for browsers.

There was a bit of similar buzz around the time when Google did their major rebrand.... 2015 was it? Kindergarten-chic I think people were calling it. You can also see it at Basecamp and KnowYourCompany.
If I'm getting philosophical about it, I think it's a materialization of the "so easy a child could use it" ethos. The cynic in me wants to think that instead of actually making the products easier to use and achieving those goals, it's much easier to project the outward aesthetic of having achieved those goals. Very much tell, don't show.
That being said I'm not at all criticizing this site! I personally love the aesthetic and the work you've put into it Joakim, I'm just speaking to where I think the larger influencing forces of this aesthetic come from.
Cheers!
