If you're purely looking at this from a prototyping perspective, then Axure has been doing this with dynamic panels for a long time.

It takes 5 seconds to turn down the volume because pressing the button just opens the volume slider—in a different position— and doesn't actually turn down the volume.

Just as a heads up – you don't need to do this. You can just rest your finger on the volume icon and, without lifting it, move left or right to adjust the volume. Same with the brightness icon.

    Use something like Chatfuel.

You can get a functional Messenger bot up and running in under 15 minutes. Super easy way to test conversation.

Some cool tech work, for sure.

From a design perspective I'm not really sold – seems like a solution in search of a problem.

Wow. I didn't realise how often interface elements were hidden behind the option key.

    That's inexcusably bad design.

Great article, Nicholas. Some very well thought out criticism.

    LOL.

What an oversight. I'll let him know. Thanks, Philip!

    I know, right!

A friend of mine uses yellow on his portfolio and I've always thought it looks great.

More sites should go for it.

I love the products! I'd definitely buy the Marble - Nero one if it was a bit closer to payday ;)

The only feedback I would offer to the designer is:

    • I really don't think a hamburger menu is necessary for a site with 4 links.

    • The hamburger switching on hover to a full menu is a little clunky/confusing. I went to click on it and ended up accidentally navigating to the Support section because it changed to a nav bar as I hovered. Kind of an unexpected behaviour!

    • The body copy size is way too small! 11px was very difficult for me to read.

So cool, though. Great to see some good design coming out of Australia. I've definitely added the Marble - Nero watch to my 'Rainy Day' bookmark folder.

I definitely recommend Sketch. Very very fast and very easy to use. I started using Sketch + Principle yesterday and I think I'm in love.
