Have to disappoint on this one, we are going to have a DTP app next year (Affinity Publisher) but video isn't on the cards, at least anytime soon..
Yeah, it's a separate purchase for Mac and Windows licenses...
Thanks!
Yes - we've got unit here already and looking to support asap. Looking forward to getting our hands on a surface studio too!
I'm not sure we would have said that, as we always planned for cross platform support so didn't really make any of our code reliant on any OS specific stuff. Our back-end is pretty much identical on OSX and Windows, it's only the front end UI we need to write specifically for each operating system
From a license point of view it's not a problem. Of course the main thing is that it is a beta so we wouldn't normally recommend you using it for commercial projects as it could crash / you may lose work
The £29.99 price is with a discount which is running just for the next couple of weeks or so. Normal price is £39.99, but still substantially cheaper than the alternatives!
We're looking to supply some templates soon for this type of thing too which have already been set up in Photo (so wouldn't necessarily need Photo to achieve it)...
Yeah, it's definitely on our roadmap, although is probably a good 6-12 months away to open it up I'm afraid...

Unfortunately it does cause a lot of issues us being able to do this, especially as you say with our apps being available in different channels such as the Mac App Store. It would require some manual validation process which we don't really have the staff for, or could justify the cost for a $50 app. We will however shortly be offering universal licenses for teams (5+), and will control this by being something we will only offer directly...
