Oscar Health does a fantastic job doing just that. Providing health insurance services and making the process more friendly
From memory:
Hint: Before doing any activity, ask questions first, like primary use cases and business goals and let that drive your decisions.
Hubert nailed most of it. There are several things that I can think of...
• Are you a good fit for their culture?
• Can you explain the process behind each (or a specific) design piece in your portfolio? Pretty interfaces are great, but I want to know how you got to that, what research or testing did you do to validate your design decision?
• What are your favorite apps? Why?
• What design trend can you not stand? Why?
• Don't be surprised if you get handed dry-erase markers and put in front of a whiteboard to run through some activities. I find this very useful when interviewing candidates as it immediately gives you an idea of their thought process and how quickly they can think on their feet when given a problem. Be ready to be asked questions as to why you made decisions as you're going through the activity as well.
