The Intercept is a beautiful site with some great longform journalism. The thing that really gets to me though is they have some elements that become fixed position (such as the "Field of Vision: Birdie") that are jittery as you scroll—a detail that spoils the site for me a bit.

Yeah I found the movement on the windows distracting to the eye too and stopped reading. Then I noticed the audio and tried again with that, it kept me more focused and I enjoyed reading it much more with atmospheric noises and a southern narrator.

Is it Brown? I'm pretty sure Bobby Tannam did the type. Maybe based off of brown? Edit: Sorry can see now that the webfont is brown bold
