This is so neat!
In case you're wondering, Collins is the studio that helped:
Invision is just quite honestly a poorly made product. Tons of weird issues and poor UX, especially at scale. Plus, it's insanely expensive. You only get 3 projects for $15/mo. Wtf.
Looks nice—but the floating object drop-shadows are pretty intense!

Got it.
Looks like a drop shadow.
...and tbh, since it's on all the elements (image, logo) on that carousel, I think it might be a styling mistake.
Here's a few that I enjoy for design:
Desk of Tobias van Schneider: Great ideas and information directly from Tobias every so often. Scroll to the bottom of his website to sign up.
Minimum Viable Publication: a nice digest of resources and articles from all over the web.
Hey Designer: Weekly: another nice digest of resources and ideas, covering design, development, and more.
Here's a quick list of business-y newsletters that I find really valuable as a designer, even though they aren't design specific:
Hustle Co.: One of my favorite daily breakdowns about the tech-world at large. Not the prettiest, but presented in an entertaining way. Disclaimer: that's my personal referral link for them (I like free stickers.) Click here for their basic website.
Capital Minded: This is a newer one, but off to a great start. Nice design and well curated information.
Angel List Weekly: A surprisingly nice newsletter straight from the source talking about industry trends and more. Bonus: showcases startups that are hiring at the bottom.
Tim Ferris' 5 Bullet Fridays: Just five quick bullet points to think about through the weekend. Delievered every friday.
Wait. DOTA?

yep—which is why a friend of mine and I built Meld.so! It's a bit rough and we haven't been posting to it regularly cause we've been dealing with some day-job stuff! But it's there and ready for designers and developers alike.
Oh, and we'll moderate it.
