Great example! I look forward to seeing how design might change with more “natural” devices like the iPad. I bought the new iPad Pro in 2018 hoping to use it more in visual design but I’ve mainly used it to sketch out ideas and help facilitate remote Design Sprints.
Thanks for sharing this Anna.
Thanks for the insight on this Marc! I’m a fan of the real function keys as well so this struck me as an interesting option for design work. I’ve been using my maxed out 2013 MacBook Pro as my main portable working computer for too long. :)
Curious to hear what the community thinks about using the MacBook Air for design work. My main tools would include Figma, Sketch, and sometimes Xcode or Adobe CC. Thoughts?
Does anyone have an idea onhow it will work with Figma or other browser based design tools?
Awesome Screenshot - don't love it but it's the best full page screenshot tool I've found
Muz.li - great for design inspiration
Thanks for your thoughts Maxwell, glad to hear yours is holding up well!
Curious what other designers out there are doing since the rMBP hasn't been updated in a while (approaching 500 days).
Is your machine still holding up well? Have you made any upgrades to your MBP while you wait for a refresh?
Thanks for the comment David. Just wanted to hear from fellow designers out there. I'm considering using it for a startup clients app as well.

Thanks Edmund! Great example.
This is what's showing up on my end
Family inter, -apple-system, system-ui, "Segoe UI", Helvetica, "Apple Color Emoji", Arial, sans-serif, "Segoe UI Emoji", "Segoe UI Symbol";
Does Apple System inherit SF Pro Text if you have it on your machine? Also, Inter is a great typeface so that's nice to see included as well.
