I have 2x Dell U2515H monitors.
Playing around with orientation - had one landscape, one portrait for a while but now playing with both portrait.
I tried, I'm not good at writing :(
exactly. we might be able to figure it out eventually but that seems like a whole new level — we're focused rn on things we can get working reliably in production rather than a demo :)
please don't let this dissuade you - coding is one tool out of many, and selection bias will not help you in this situation (of course other designers who sway towards the technical side of things will be more vocal in threads like these!).
if you do enjoy coding but don't get this thing in particular - that's fine too. some of us have been doing this for a while (and are immersed by it every day at work), I hope it's more inspiring than dissuading (recently there was a time when no designers used React :))
Indeed - this came from our internal workflow + conversations with friends at other orgs of our scale.
workflow 1) sounds most accurate, for now
I don't see why not - you could generate a doc with React components and then import it to Framer… there's a name
prop on every component that you could try using.
Hey DN, excited to share this with y'all!
Lmk if you have feedback / suggestions / don't get it / want to be mean to me :)
Hey John - did you check out the blog post explaining why we built it? :) http://airbnb.design/painting-with-code/
The 'free movement of people' thing is a big one for me. I'm presuming that my European friends in London won't get deported any time soon, and I'm also presuming that if one wanted to move to Berlin as a skilled knowledge worker that will always be on the cards.
That said, there's a possibility that the ad-hoc "wanna work from Södermalm tomorrow? Sure, why not?" travel that I've been lucky enough to enjoy recently will not be possible for future generations.
that said: in the days since the result I've become more confident that Article 50 will never be triggered. 6am GMT on Friday was rough and I was catastrophizing but by now (9pm GMT Sunday) I'm pretty chill about the whole thing. The Leave politicans are withdrawing themselves from all of their arguments already and the Tory and Labour parties are both imploding in real time - I can't see anyone other than Farage who'd actually press the red button.
