    Aw yeah, pretty awesome updates from Adobe. I really love that they're pushing hard on features & improvements for UI workflows.

    Linked Smart Objects are the best thing since sliced bread and I must say that feature alone paid (hrs saved X fee) for a year of CC membership during a recent project.

    One small detail though:

    Originally generator required you to name every layer with every size you wanted to export. So if you were exporting for 1x, 2x and 3x you needed to type Shape.png, 200% Shape@2x.png, 300% Shape3x.png

    Not really. Not sure when they introduced defaults but they've been around for quite a few months now.

    Or you can use Illustrator.

    • Open the .svg in Illustrator
    • Select & copy the shape
    • ⌘-V in Photoshop

    then

    Smart Paste in Photoshop

    The major advantage to using Illustrator for this is that you can paste the shape as an actual shape rather than a Vector Smart Object.
