I'm 26 and I think about this all the time. I work as an in-house designer for a company in the HR space. We frequently conduct user interviews with people searching for jobs and we frequently hear about acts of ageism. This is not specific to design, but it is especially prevalent in the tech industry. As the world becomes more digital, I feel like this will only get more pronounced. It is heartbreaking and it would be foolish to think we're immune to it.
Personally, I don't see myself ever retiring with a capital R because work is fulfilling for me and it keeps my brain active. That being said, I want to be in a place where I feel financially secure so as to not panic if something goes awry. I expect to have fewer work opportunities as I get older so I anticipate needing to find ways to support and fulfill myself.
This is really cool! Reminds me a lot of the Quartz app. The preselected responses are a great way to direct the visitor. My one criticism is that the chat content seems at odds with the rest of your portfolio. You're using the chat to share resources before I've learnt anything about you. It'd be great to 'interact' with you a little more before I start receiving articles.

I think it depends on your audience during the interview. When applying to jobs, I'll send my site with long form, written case studies for the Hiring Manager to read through. If I'm presenting to 1 or 2 people, I'll use these same case studies to guide the conversation. That way, it's easy to do a deep dive.
When asked to present my work to a larger group – especially when it consists of cross-functional team members – I'll use a deck. In those presentations, I believe the emphasis is on your ability to tell a story about your work. Having a deck is easier to anchor the story.
