At the place where i work, we do a Design Breakfast™️ every month. Most times we talk about process instead of giving design feedback. I often find this more helpful as my colleagues are happy to give design feedback on the fly whenever I need it. Topics tend to circle around challenges we want to get past, tricky stakeholders, presentation techniques, tips on design related books to read, tips on tools to try out, and so on. Sometimes if any of us did something cool/special/new/weird they tell us about the thoughts behind what they did.

This "heroimage" makes absolutely no sense. Theres a seagull flying, close up of a shoe, some waves and of course gesticulating hands all over the place.

Just what I wanted to say! Animation are like any other tool we use to make up a UI. It can be done poorly or brilliantly, depending on the designer.

For me this is way over designed. Hard to understand you actually landed on a site thats about food, even harder to get that it is about tacos. On the front page there are hardly any pictures of any food, and when there are pictures with food they are dark to accentuate the text which often covers the food.
