Thanks for noticing!
Thanks Daniel! I may continue to work on it some more though I'm pretty happy with how it's looking. T think the mark scales down pretty well (I think even better than the original), I included images of the logomark scaled down in the updated link above.
I agree. It reminded me of a fountain pen as well. I worked on it a bit more, check out the link above!
Thanks AK & Daniel for the feedback. Here's an update of the logo. I've developed the spear to make it look more "spear-like". Client also wanted to add back in the "& Associates".

I see what you mean now, many thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!
You're right about the first mark looking like an airplane, I didn't see until you mentioned it and now that's all I see.
I'm leaning towards the third option as well and will continue to develop it. Can you further explain what you mean by the round corner shape being used on it's own as a pattern?
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
Thanks for your feedback and I agree with your comments. The client wanted the word "Improv" in different sizes and angle rotations. I'm not crazy about it, but this is what the client requested and likes.
The ampersand was customized to look a bit more like a hook to represent the company's location (Red Hook, NY), and "hook", a term used in improv and music, which is ""a phrase that stands out and is easily remembered" (wiki definition there).

Executive recruiters are often referred to as "headhunters", which is why the client wanted the logo to include a spear
