81%, 18/22....a rare opportunity to exercise my design education.

Wow, look at all these comments of men telling women how to feel.

Great job making an inclusive community, commenters. Fortunately, I've got a thick enough skin that I'm still going to do what I do, but if you want an example of why women/minorities leave male-dominated fields, just take a look around.

Was going to comment and say the same. I count only 3 (now 4 with my comment) women commenting in this thread. This had nothing to do with men, and yet they felt the need to comment. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Who said it was derogatory? Just because there is a difference between the two terms does not mean that one must be worth less than the other.

  • Posted to Ask DN: How to display errors in red when your brand color is ALSO red?, Jul 31, 2015

Our brand color is a peppy green, so our validation is similarly conflicted but at the other end of the spectrum :) . Using icons along with validation is a solid way to affirm that the error/success is precisely what you mean it to be. As far as color goes, your red looks pretty orange-y, so a more pink-shaded red or a deeper shade - more of a blood red - might get your point across.
