this thread of sonique skins makes it clear that there was some sort of mass psychosis happening in the 90s/00s https://twitter.com/fart/status/1069312730249650176
Sadboys did it first, and better
I have an Incase ICON Slim for daily carry. It doesn't hold the most, but it's got enough room for my laptop, headphones, chargers, a light jacket, etc. More than enough to get me through a day, basically.
it's interesting to me how the illustrations still fell chimero-esque in the wake of his absence (they're a little messier but share his fondness for contrasting textures & geometric shapes).
also, this is not brutalism.
It was just a UI replacement for normal panels, but their behavior was really annoying. Difficult to trigger with a mouse, constantly expanding after you'd minimized them, etc. It's possible these issues have been fixed but it was enough to have me checking out VSC and I'm glad I did.
Used Atom until they introduced the panes system, which I absolutely hated. Switched to VS Code which I wound up liking better overall (though I still use the Atom keybindings).
i'm getting the new experience. it should look like this: https://twitter.com/rauchg/status/1019329760076300288
I use an Incase ICON Slim 95% of the time. It holds basically everything I need to without being bulky, and looks pretty good to boot.
I also have a 20L Oakley rucksack-style backpack that I use when I'm lucky enough to be traveling without a laptop :)

I recently started using Sanitize instead of Normalize and it reduced the amount of boilerplate I typically included in a project almost to nil.
