We should also take into account that in Github, profiles are one of the most important parts of the website, while at Designer News they're not that useful/important.

Sketchbooks are the shit. Stickers are cool, too, but they need to be cool. Logo stickers just don't get used, unless they're from an already loved brand.

I'm at peace with Facebook. I enjoy it, but some time ago I had to do some work to keep it that way:

    1. Unfollow everyone (no unfriend, just unfollow). This could take a while, but you can do it from the friends page.
    2. Disable non-essential email notifications

After this, your timeline will be empty. No distractions. If you want to see what's up with someone, you go to their page.

I also made a friend list with my close friends and my immediate family. That's what I open when I want to know what's up in my immediate circle (I have it bookmarked so I don't have to fish for it in the ever-changing FB UI).

I use Shush with the fn key, and wouldn't change it even with the touch bar mac.

Accessibility is not only for blind people. There is a long spectrum between 20/20 vision and blindness, and a big part people on that spectrum use screen readers to browse the web.

Also, The website is not just a "graphic design gallery", it's the website of a big firm and I bet a big part of its purpose is to generate business, not just to show eye candy.
