Hey all -- I'm doing a lot of design for Nylas. Excited to see this come out and what's coming in the future - I've always been a fan of theming. :) Feel free to share your thoughts or input if you have any.

Yup, the script doesn't delete or overwrite anything. You can just 'Get Info' on an app, select the icon, and delete it. It'll revert the icon back to the original.

The script actually replaces the icon 'resource forks', which has the added bonus of not removing the original icon AND leaving code signing intact, meaning Mac App Store apps with custom icons also keep auto-updating. This is something other icon changing scripts or apps don't do. :)

For personal use only, obviously. This set includes almost all Creative Cloud apps, and more:

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Bridge, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom, Cinema 4D, Sparkle, Espresso, Coda, Transmit, Telegram, Twitter, Facebook Messenger, Spotify, Rdio, Slack, Mail, Safari, Skype, Steam, Transmission, System Preferences, Messages, Tor, VLC, Deliveries, Sketch, Image Capture, and Quartz Composer.

    Enjoy!

Classifying muting or blocking ads as 'piracy' is a bit of a stretch, wouldn't you say? Is it also piracy if I turn the volume off while ads play? Is it piracy if I leave the room?

I really like it. It's unconventional, unique, and matches the company very well.

This is such a load of baloney that comes straight out of marketing and boardroom FUD campaigns. Many brands tweaked their brand to be equally recognizable, but graphically better or different:

    • UPS (arguably not 'better'; I preferred the Rand logo. But, more modern)
    • Apple (sub-brands: iCloud, iTunes)
    • Marriott
    • Holiday Inn
    • Black & Decker
    • Pandora
    • Facebook

And you are telling me Spotify couldn't? Please. This was the one best time, arguably, to change the logo and redraw it to better fit the moniker of 'music company', and it's STILL a generic bubble with a bunch of poorly drawn wi-fi signal bars.

I finished another set of icons to customize OS X Yosemite with ( - or earlier versions, if you are so inclined). They're free ICNS files. This time, I also included a script that can auto-apply these icons. Enjoy, DN!

GIF Brewery is nice, but for all of these I just render the video out to After Effects, open the video as layers in PS, drop every second frame and fine-tune in Save for Web.
